Easter Parade

Easter Parade. Fred Astaire and Judy Garland star in this classic 1948 musical from Hollywood’s Golden Age. The songs and music, including the title song, are by famed composer Irving Berlin. Garland is at her best in this film and Astaire came out of retirement  without missing a step. 108 minutes. 

Fred Astaire’s solo dance to “Stepping Out with My Baby” is one of the best of his long career. In the course of this long number he performs three separate dances with three different dance pros from the MGM studio. Then, he goes into slow motion while a whole chorus dances behind him in real time.

In the film's last scene Garland does an unforgettable version of In Your Easter Bonnet.
